Time to start poppin’ trunks!

Trunk or Treat is back! In partnership with the Downtown Newcastle Business District and the City of Miramichi. Our goal is to provide a safe evening for Miramichi’s elementary-aged kids and younger to collect some yummy treats from 30 amazingly decorated vehicles.

Half-Hour time slots will be available for Trick-or-Treaters. Registration is now open.


Location: Queen Elizabeth Park (The Square), Newcastle.

Cost: Free

Time: 2:30-5:30 pm

A must-attend event for families!

Looking to be a part of our 2026 Trunk or Treat experience? You can participate in three ways. Register your vehicle to be decorated, give out treats, register your child for the event, or donate money/treats to help us with the 1700 kids in attendance.

A few things to keep in mind:

  1. We’re preparing for the number of kids attending, and we’ll look for your registered name upon arrival before entering. Half-hour time slots will be in effect.
  2. Walk-ins will not be allowed due to the number of kids we’re expecting, unless we have enough treats available.
  3. Please be patient as the lines are long, and our goal is to give space for each family to enjoy the trunks and to create a great, safe environment. We will have an interactive registration line with photo opportunities, mini-games, and free candy to win, even before you even reach the 30 trunks.
  4. We put on a fun, interactive stage show for all those inside the event.
  5. Once registered, more details will be sent, helping you prepare to have the best, safest experience for you and your child!
  6. We will be streaming Trunk or Treat ‘26 on the Point Church’s YouTube channel at 3 pm. This is to allow people who won’t or can’t attend to see all the amazingly dressed kids.

Our application for entering a trunk for our 2026 Trunk or Treat event is now open. Once approved, trunks are responsible for their own kid-appropriate decorations and supplying 1500 treats (with assistance).

This event doesn’t happen by itself. If you are interested in volunteering then we encourage you to fill out the form and we will find a place for you to help make this event a massive success. If you would love to help donate money to purchase treats, you can do so here, or purchase treats and drop them off at The Point Church Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Thank you in advance.
